Education

St. John’s has a very active Sunday School.  Beginning in the fall of 2005 it was expanded to serve those attending either worship service.  The 9:15 Sunday School is for children 3 years old to 8th grade and starts out with the children in worship with their families. They are dismissed to their classrooms after the Children’s Message and hymn.

We are blessed to have teams of teachers for each class. These dedicated leaders return year after year to tell God’s story and share God’s love with the children. The majority of the 9:15 Sunday School uses the ‘Walk With Me’ curriculum. This biblically based material incorporates various types of teaching techniques to serve the various leaning styles that are found in every classroom. The 7th and 8th grade teachers use a diversity of Bible-based resources in their classes. Topics range from Jesus’ death and resurrection to dealing with parents and peers.  

During the summer, St. John’s offers a special time of worship for the children 2nd grade and younger.
