The Emmaus Road Youth Group is a ministry that
welcomes students in 6th through 12th grades, meeting 2-3
times a month during the program year which follows the Red Hook Public School
calendar.
The focus is to allow students to have a good time
together in Christian fellowship while learning how God is calling them to live
in the world. We are preparing for our eighth year of mission trips. This year
high school students will be headed to Elizabethtown, PA for a Group Cares
Workcamp to do home repairs on the homes of those less fortunate the week of
July 31- August 6.
October 15 students will be participating in the Big
Day of Serving in Danbury, CT sponsored by Group Cares.
Some recent activities include:
Broom Hockey (Trust us, you’ll love it!)
Go-Carting
Bonfires with S’mores
Going to Frankenstein’s Fortress
CROP Walk
Doing home repairs and yard work locally
Communicants Class
Various fundraisers including participating in the
annual Friendship Tea, selling food at the Christmas bazaar, Flower Power bulb
sales, Gertrude Hawk chocolate sales, and spring plant sales.
