The Emmaus Road Youth Group is a very active ministry that welcomes students in 6^th through 12^th grades for both the Middle School and Sr. High age groups. It holds at least two meetings per month.

Regular meetings for the Middle School group (grades 6-8) are held Sunday evenings from 5-6:30 and are led by Associate in Ministry for Christian Education, Desiree Albizu, and Associate in Ministry, John Roberts with help from Dawn Morrison.

The Sr. High group also meets on Sundays. They gather from 12:15PM. The Sr. High group is led by Tanya and George Phelps with help from elected student leaders.

The focus of both groups is to allow young men and women to have a good time together in Christian fellowship while learning how God is calling them to live in the world. We will also be preparing for our third mission trip! This year, at the end of July, we will be heading to assist those in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Come on out and join in!

October 5 – CROP Walk, meet at Red Hook Rec Park at 12:30 p.m. Bring a non-                   perishable food for the food pantry.

October 11 – Christopher William’s Concert; 7 p.m.

October 19 - Both groups meet at church to help members with yard work, 12 noon

October 26 – Frankenstein’s Fortress, leave the church parking lot at 5 p.m.

November 2 – Both groups Senior Citizens’ luncheon at 1 p.m. time to arrive TBA

November 15 – Senior High Group, Rock the Sound concert in CT, time TBA

November 16 – Middle School Group meets, Bonfire, 5-6:30 p.m.

November 22 – Christmas Bazaar; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., food prep and sales in church kitchen

December 7 – Both groups to Baptist Home to decorate doors and sing, !2 noon tentatively

December 21- Both groups, Christmas party, time TBA

January 4 – Middle School group meets, 5-6:30 p.m

January 18 – Both Groups snow-tubing or rollerskating, 12 noon

February 1 - Senior High Group meets, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.; Middle School group meets, 5-6:30 p.m

February 8 – Friendship Tea, 1-3 p.m.

February 22 - Middle School group meets, 5-6:30 p.m. or River Rat’s Game for both groups

March 8 - Middle School group meets, 5-6:30 p.m. or River Rat’s Game for both groups; Daylight Savings time begins

March 22 – Both groups meet at 12 noon, Planning for Easter Sunrise Service

April 19 – Great Mattress Race in Red Hook, time TBA

May 3 - Middle School group meets, 5-6:30 p.m.

May 17 – Middle School group hike, meet in church parking lot at 12 noon

May 30 – White water rafting trip, time, TBA
