What is a Shepherd

A Shepherd is one person caring for another by giving one’s self in Christian love to a relationship in times of weakness and times of strength.

What is our Ministry?

To minister God’s love and care to members and friends of our congregation, fulfilling the Lord’s command;

to Love each other as I have loved you

John 15:12

and

 Feed my sheep

John 21:15-17

Who  Do We Serve?

Comfort my people

Isaiah 40:1

Those who become ill or hospitalized and need care

Those who face critical decisions and need our prayers

Those who are lonely and need calls and letters

Those who are celebrating and need us to recognize it

Those who are strangers in our midst and need friends.

What is a Shepherds Commitment?

The Shepherd’s commitment is best described by the acronym  PACE.

P - Pray for your people daily

A - Be Available in times of need

C - Make a regular Contact

E - Set an Example in your

commitment to Jesus and His church

How does it happen?

Shepherds minister wherever God’s people live, work and worship: In neighborhoods and at church, in hospitals and nursing homes, even at the grocery store or at the mall.  Each shepherd cares for family units through regular prayer, phone calls, visits, cards and letters according to the need of the family or individual.

Are You Searching for Someone. . . .
